Coronation Street actor Todd Boyce, who plays serial killer Stephen Reid, has teased that a show icon could be killed off ahead of his soap exit. It appears that Stephen is not giving up his evil ways and could strike again, as he becomes desperate to flee Weatherfield next week when his lies start to unravel.
Stephen has killed three people on the street and, so far, his crimes have remained a secret, but in scenes coming soon his dodgy deals and drugging of Carla Connor are set to be revealed.
The residents of Weatherfield begin to piece together his crimes, with Tim Metcalfe keen to expose the Canadian businessman. However, Tim's determination could cost him his life, and Todd has also teased that Corrie legend Peter Barlow could also be at risk of death before Stephen is caught.
Todd spoke to OK! ahead of the dramatic scenes airing next week, and explained that he thinks Stephen will kill again if anything gets in the way of his escape. The 62 year old said: "I think if anything gets in his way, there’s no question, he’s got all the finesse of a bulldozer at this point he just needs to get out." Speaking about who could be the next victim, he revealed: "I think Tim and I think Peter is putting himself in a dangerous position, but Tim definitely is just in my sights.
"Stephen is furious with his situation, so he'd kill Tim just out of anger, not even any other reason. He’s a time bomb, he’s exploding." In recent episodes, viewers have watched as the body of Stephen's victim, Leo Thompkins, was found on a piece of land that had been bought by Ed and Ronnie Baily.
