Coronation Street fans have been left unimpressed by an 'awful' change as the fallout from Stephen Reid's death - or murder - begins. There was horror on the cobbles last week as the desperate character tried to flee the street as the net closed in on his shocking crimes.
While fans knew Stephen, and the actor who played him Todd Boyce, would be finally leaving the street, Super Soap Week delivered a number of twists and turns before reaching a jaw-dropping climax. During the final episode of the week, a desperate Stephen was cornered in the Rovers Return by his partner Jenny Connor and Sarah Barlow
Viewers of the ITV soap saw him bash his niece over the head with a bottle and a final showdown with Jenny then led to him holding her hostage during his bid to escape before being mown down in a car by Peter Barlow, moments after he’d set Jenny free.

Then, just as the audience was still reeling from the shock of Stephen’s death, with mum Audrey crouched over him, another bombshell was dropped as Tim Metcalfe, who’d been attacked by Stephen earlier in the week and his lifeless body dumped in the boot of his taxi, opened his eyes.
This week, Peter will find himself being paid a visit by the police and, in front of his beloved wife Carla Connor, is arrested on suspicion of murder and hauled in for questioning by DS Swain and her team.
Meanwhile, Swain pushes Sally to give her opinion on whether Peter intended to kill Stephen, but she tells her they should be out looking for her missing husband.
But Corrie fans have been issued a reminder of some
