Clues from EastEnders’ flash-forward death mystery from cufflinks to Champagne bottle

When it comes to dramatic storylines, EastEnders doesn’t do things by halves as its ongoing flash-forward storyline has proved. In a surprising twist in the BBC One soap, back in February viewers were transported 10 months into the future where they saw the aftermath of a very eventful 2023 Christmas.
After a lock-in at the Queen Vic, a flash forward brought viewers to Christmas 2023 where Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) were left dealing with an unidentified dead body. Ever since, viewers have been trying to work out what exactly happened and who the victim is.
So, as the mystery continues, let’s take a look at all the ‘clues’ surrounding the mystery so far… Suit of armour In the back of the flash-forward scene, a suit of armour can be seen behind Stacey - and some fans think it could be a clue. When Ian Beale made a return to the show following his wife Cindy’s “return from the dead” after she’d actually been living in witness protection, the pair appeared to be happy together.
However, some viewers think otherwise and one Twitter user wrote: “What if the suit of armour in the flash forward represents... Cindy (AKA Rose Knight) and the body is Ian? It's my back-up theory anyway”.
Cufflinks After Sharon checked the victim’s pulse, a close-up shot showed a very specific design of cufflink on the shirt of the victim.
To add even more mystery, the EastEnders Twitter account shared a snap of four boxes of cufflinks alongside the caption: “If you know, you know”. Furthermore, Brian Conley – who plays Sonia Fowler’s long-lost father Rocky Cotton, also known as Terry Cant – revealed to OK! that the flash forward
