EastEnders fans demand Rocky Cotton is recast as Brian Conley confirms soap exit

As half of Walford was on hand to celebrate the wedding of Kat Slater and Phil Mitchell with nothing but joy, elsewhere in Albert Square tragedy was unfolding for the Panesar family as Nugget made the heartbreaking decision to run away from home. Suki Panesar had been taking care of the youngster in Thursday night's episode, 21 September, after she had revealed to him that his father Ravi Gulati was responsible for murdering his adoptive father, Nugget’s grandpa, Ranveer Gulati.

EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick, who plays grieving Jay Brown in the BBC soap, has been meeting with Walford newcomer Nadine over the last few weeks after initially mistaking her for his late wife Lola Pearce, given the uncanny resemblance they bear.

Lorraine Stanley shelved her sadness over her EastEnders exit as she enjoyed a lavish holiday with her partner Mark Perez. The 47 year old actress, who has played Karen Taylor in the BBC soap since 2017, embarked on a luxurious break to Montenegro, in southeast Europe, a month after her departure from Albert Square was announced. Lorraine took to social media to express her sadness over her Eastenders axe shortly after it was confirmed.

Just last week, Denise Fox became intrigued when she spotted Ravi Gulati getting stressed over an old laptop that was being used for music at a party. She decided to take the laptop home and asked her stepson Ricky Mitchell to help her recover lost files on it.

EastEnders fans had to do a double take on Monday as Lola Pearce lookalike Nadine arrived in Albert Square, following her tragic death earlier this year. Newcomer Nadine looked the spitting image of Lola, who died from a brain tumour, with her blonde locks tied up in a ponytail and a pair of oversized hoop earrings - Lola's signature look. Her arrival in Walford on Monday, 18 September, took Jay Brown - Lola's widower - by surprise and he later got chatting to Nadine in the Queen Vic before walking her to the tube station.

Jacqueline Jossa has shared a picture with her former co-star Natalie Cassidy after the pair bumped into each other during a night out. Taking to her Instagram, the EastEnders actress, 30, shared a sweet snap with Natalie, 40, as they both grinned for the camera. Referencing Natalie’s character, Sonia Fowler, on the BBC soap, Jacqueline penned: “Bumped into cousin Sonia @natcass1 Adore you!” and added a white heart emoji.

EastEnders star Brian Conley is said to have quit the hit BBC soap after he was unable to appear in various pantomime roles next year. Reports in The Sun say the actor had to choose choose between his pantomime appearances and the TV soap.
