A Scots teenager has died in a horror two vehicle crash in Ayrshire.
On Thursday, December 14, police were called to a crash between a blue Volkswagen Polo and a Ford Transit van on the A714 between Shalloch Park Roundabout and Pinmore at around 10am.
The 17-year-old female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A 39-year-old woman and three-year-old girl, both passengers in the car, suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
Another two 17-year-old females, also passengers in the car, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock.
The 35-year-old male driver of the van was uninjured in the incident.
Inspector Craig Beaver, of Ayrshire’s Roads Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the female who died, and everyone affected by this tragic incident.
“An investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.
