A family has thanked the kind-hearted plumber who helped them for free - meaning they didn't have to spend Christmas Day inside a flooded flat.
Richard Morgan heard water gushing in his property in Glasgow on Sunday, December 17, while sitting in his living room. He rushed to switch off the water in the flat in Wester Common Road, Possilpark.
An emergency plumber came out later that night to fix the issue, which originated under the sink, however the family were told by Queen Cross Housing Association that it would be after Christmas before repairs could be carried out.
That meant the 40-year-old, wife Kelly-Ann, 38, and daughters Mileene, 14, and Mallie, 11, would have to spend Christmas waiting for their flat to be back to normal.
Glasgow Live reports the dad was concerned for the health of his wife and eldest daughter who faced living in a damp flat for weeks with asthma and feared many of the electronics in the property could now be dangerous.
However, after seeing their plight on GlasgowLive, a kind-hearted local plumber - who chose to remain anonymous - offered to help the family ahead of Christmas Day.
