He told the Manchester Evening News: "Not many, I would think one or two (loan departures). It’s re-visiting that gap between the under-18s and the first team, and I think midweek really highlights that.
"The way this season has gone and with the Covid situation, I’m petrified to play any first-team players in the reserves. In turn, that means the young lads have had to fulfil these fixtures and you can see when they come up against experienced players or under-23 teams, they’re just not ready for it.
