Bolton boss Ian Evatt believes Wanderers knew where they stood with Dennis Politic when he turned down a new contract earlier this season but wished the attacker well in his move to Italy.
The 21-year-old joined Wanderers aged 15 and came through the youth ranks at the University of Bolton Stadium, making his debut for the club in August 2019.
He played a total of 30 times for Bolton in all competitions, scoring five times, but has now sealed a move to Serie B side Cremonese.

He has signed a deal until the summer of 2023 and Wanderers have obtained a transfer fee for Politic, as well as insertiung a sell-on clause should the Romanian be sold by the Italian club in the future.
Politic had been offered a fresh Bolton contract earlier this campaign, but this was turned down and his deal with the club was poised to run out this summer.
He was subsequently sent on loan at League Two side Port Vale this season and racked up 15 appearances with the Valiants, scoring five times.
But Wanderers recalled Politic from his loan spell at Vale Park after a bid from another club was accepted and he has now completed a move to Cremonese.
Reflected on Politic's exit, Evatt said Wanderers knew where they stood when the player turned down a fresh deal.
Evatt also stressed that Port Vale wanted to sign Politic, even though he had not nailed down a place in their team, but that doing that would have been a precursor to doing it at Wanderers.
Valiants boss Darrell Clarke suggested that Politic had perhaps been seeking a higher wage than the League Two side were prepared to offer.
But from his perspective, Evatt believes the deal
