Manchester United hero Dimitar Berbatov reckons there's "no pressure" on Harry Kane to shine against the team who flirted with signing him before his blockbuster £100million transfer to Bayern Munich.

Kane, meanwhile, moved to Bayern from Tottenham and the two frontmen will go head-to-head on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena when United visit there in their Champions League opener. Berbatov shed light on that impending battle in his role as an ambassador for bookmakers Betfair.

Berbatov said: "I was confident that Harry Kane would score goals in Germany and it's always great to start your new career the way he has. The pressure will already be off him because he's been scoring goals.
"He knows Man United well and he'll be happy to be facing a familiar foe. He'll be ready to score goals and prove yet again that he scores goals for fun.
"When we look back at that talk of United getting Kane, you can say it was a mistake not to get him, but not the biggest because no player is bigger than the club. I don't know why it didn't happen, but it didn't and Man United now have a young, hungry forward who will be desperate to score goals."
