He has now explained that decision while Eddie Howe has commented on his Newcastle side facing United in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in a repeat of last year’s final.

Suzuki has outlined his ambition to play in the Premier League but felt as though United’s summer approach came too soon for him.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News in August, United had reached an agreement with Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds but the 21-year-old turned down the opportunity as he believes he needs several years of further development before he is ready for the Premier League.
The US-born Japanese shot-stopper has now confirmed the reasons behind his decision to decline United’s hand.
