King Charles' dead great uncle Lord Mountbatten accused of molesting boy
Mirror reports.Mountbatten was the great uncle of the King but was killed in Mullaghmore, County Sligo, in 1979 when an IRA bomb detonated on his boat.Mr Smyth’s solicitor, Kevin Winters of KRW Law, said action had been taken against various state bodies claiming there had been negligence and breaches of duties of care.He added the High Court in Belfast would see summons filed on Tuesday.“Central to the case are our client’s allegations of abuse by the late Lord Louis Mountbatten,” Winters said.“Understandably many abuse survivors for reasons of obvious sensitivity choose to remain anonymous."Arthur’s decision to reveal his identity must be set against this backdrop.“It is borne out of anger at systemic state cover-up on abuse at these institutions.“He alleges to have been abused twice as an 11-year-old by the deceased royal.“It’s the first time that someone has stepped forward to take allegations against Lord Mountbatten into a court.“That decision hasn’t been taken lightly.“He understands only too well that it will be a deeply unpopular case with many people coming as it does within weeks of the passing of the Queen.”The infamous home, Kincora, was open for just 22 years, between 1958 and 1980 – it was closed following a sex abuse scandal. In 1981 three men were jailed for the abuse of 11 boys, while The Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry found that 39 boys were abused at the home.It is understood that no evidence has been found to indicate the security services were involved in the abuses.Marie Anderson, a Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland (Poni), filed a report that said it might be “legitimate and justified” that some complaints claimed the Police had failed to investigate allegations of abuse.Mr Winters

Royal Family – had a blast at an outdoor market in Belfast during their surprise visit to Northern Ireland this week."William and Kate, both 40, laughed as they raced each other to mix up a particular drink, before the prince was declared the winner."I’ve often noticed that these two seem like they have got a healthy – and funny – level of competition in their relationship."The Apprentice star concluded in her column for The Sun: "I wonder if that is perhaps one of their secrets to happiness."Elsewhere, a body language expert has heaped praise on Kate over her "elegant traits", which she combines with "relatability".Judi James explained exclusively to Express.co.uk why she believed the Princess of Wales will be ready for her role as Queen when the time comes. She said: "It would be hard to imagine someone with body language that is more suited to the role of Queen than Kate."She brings many of the more traditional, formal and elegant traits that the Queen was known for, but blends them with some touches of her own that update her image to suit this age of relatability, accessibility and video communications."Judi went on to reflect on how Kate isn't afraid to have fun or get her hands dirty during her royal engagements. She questioned whether this could potentially change as she moves from Duchess to Princess and Princess to Queen Consort. She posed the question: "Kate does A-list glamour and elegance perfectly, but will she need to drop some of her more casual looks, like her sporting gear or even shorts that she tends to wear on some of her visits?"Judi went on: "Kate always looks totally happy and confident joining in all the sporting action as part of her royal roles."Earlier this year she became patron of the Rugby

Ashley Cain completes first of 5 runs in 5 days for childhood cancer charity in memory of daughter Azaylia
Ashley Cain has started the first of five planned charity marathon runs in aid of a foundation in honour of his late daughter that will span across five major cities in Ireland and the UK over the next five days. The runs are to mark the second birthday on August 10 of his daughter Azaylia, who died of ‘a rare and aggressive’ form of leukaemia last April aged eight months.Ashley and Azaylia’s mum, Safiyya Vorajee, had hoped to take her to Singapore for specialist treatment to save her life, but were tragically told her condition had worsened and it was no longer an option. His route through Dublin on Wednesday began at Fitzwilliam Square, passed Stephen’s Green and went through the Phoenix Park, Crumlin, Terenure and Ballsbridge before finishing back in the city centre at just before 4.30pm.He will then undertake marathon routes in Belfast on Thursday, Glasgow on Friday, Cardiff on Saturday and finish in London on Sunday.Ashley, who played for Coventry City and later featured in reality TV show Ex On The Beach, founded The Azaylia Foundation to help fight childhood cancer through advancing early diagnosis and new treatment availability in the UK.After completing a 100-mile ultra marathon in April, Ashley is to undertake three further athletic challenges this month, starting with these five marathons in five days across the five cities. The star will be joined by friends, family and public figures along the routes, having received support from cousin Tamika Cain and Rehan Khalid for today’s run.Taking to Instagram after his first marathon, Ashley, who was looking forward to a pint of Guinness, said: ‘First of five, done and dusted. Dubs, it’s been a pleasure.
