Flights between Manchester and Ireland are among dozens across the UK to have been cancelled as Storm Kathleen brings winds of up to 70mph. Aer Lingus has cancelled 10 flights between Dublin, Belfast and Manchester Airport today, but it's not clear exactly why.
An EasyJet flight from the Isle of Man to Manchester was also cancelled. A statement on the Aer Lingus website says: "With the arrival of Storm Kathleen in Ireland, there may be some delays and cancellations to flights on the Aer Lingus network on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April.
"We continue to monitor the situation and will update customers via our website or SMS messaging should the situation impact our flight schedule.

"If your Aer Lingus flight is cancelled or rescheduled our Customer Care team will contact you directly or through your travel agent. You will have the option to rebook free of charge at a later date, go to 'manage my booking' or call one of our customer service agents on (01) 761 7834 from Ireland and 0333 004 5000 from the UK."
Before midday on Saturday around 70 about 70 flights departing and arriving at UK airports had already been cancelled as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for wind. The warning covers the north-west and south-west of England and parts of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, from 8am to 10pm.
A further yellow warning for wind has been issued for north-west Scotland on Sunday between 9am and 3pm, with gusts of up to 70mph expected again, according to the Met Office. And temperatures could reach up to 18C in Greater Manchester on Saturday as warm air comes in from the continent.
