Manchester United could still be haunted by what could have been after seeing Harry Kane complete his move to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel has admitted he is interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer amid interest from Manchester United.
Reds boss Erik ten Hag is desperate to bring in a new centre-forward before the summer transfer window shuts and had earmarked the England captain as his primary target earlier this year. The forward has just one year left on his contract at Spurs, however United moved on to other targets at the end of May after deciding Kane's current club are unlikely to let him leave ahead of the new season.
However Tottenham owner Joe Lewis has this week informed chairman Daniel Levy that Kane cannot be allowed to run down his contract and he must either be sold or tied down to a new deal. United are yet to revive their interest in Kane, having initiated negotiations with Atalanta for Danish forward Rasmus Hojlund, while Bayern have already had two bids rejected this summer.

And asked whether he is interested in bringing Kane to Germany, Tuchel has admitted he 'has nothing to hide' and is 'looking for a player'. Speaking after watching his side fell to a late 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Wednesday, Tuchel told his post-match press conference: "I have nothing to hide about Harry Kane. I am looking for a player, because we have a lot of injured players, and we have a difficult situation.
"We made a lot of opportunites today and in terms of how to build the match, I think we did well."
