John Stones is not expected to return in time to face Sevilla as Manchester City face up to three injuries picked up in a week.
Stones was one of two centre-backs to miss the trip to Burnley, with Ruben Dias ruled out until next Friday at the earliest after picking up a concussion in training. In their absence, Nathan Ake and Manu Akanji started in the 3-0 win while Aymeric Laporte and new signing Josko Gvardiol came off the bench in the second half.
Pep Guardiola believes that Kevin De Bruyne will be out for a significant amount of time after suffering a repeat of the hamstring injury that ruined his Champions League final in the first half at Burnley. And while the injury to Stones is less severe, the problem looks like it will be enough to rule him out when City fly to Athens for the Super Cup against Sevilla.
Guardiola did not specify the nature of Stones' injury prior to kick-off at Turf Moor but confirmed it was a hip problem after the match. The manager said: "Ruben was a concussion in the head. We were scared what happened so the protocol has to be seven days off.

"John felt with one pass something in the abductor . The doctor told me today he feels really good so it will not be long. He will not be ready for Sevilla, but maybe Newcastle."
Kyle Walker captained City once De Bruyne had gone off as the Blues look to have seen off strong transfer interest from Bayern Munich. Fellow full-back Joao Cancelo was missing from the squad for the second game running, however, as his future at the club continues to look uncertain.
