Coronation Street's Matt Milburn, who plays Tommy Orpington, is reportedly leaving the soap, causing heartbreak as his character's spicy affair with Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) continues. Kevin Webster, portrayed by Michael Le Vell, revealed that the former Weatherfield County player - now a painter and director - will be saying goodbye to the cobbles for Spain next week.
Fans have been watching in shock as Tommy started a steamy affair with soap veteran Tracy over recent months, while her clueless husband Steve (Simon Gregson) tried desperately to reignite the flame in their marriage.
The affair kicked off when Tommy was hired to decorate the couple's bedroom.
Tracy fully exploited her husband's holiday to France, where he was visiting his daughter Emma - and didn't hesitate to hop into bed with his footballing idol. Steve has since come back and nearly caught the pair in the act at the florists, but luckily for them, he didn't suspect anything.
The Streetcars star has since tried to be more romantic and win his wife over with upcoming plans to suggest renewing their wedding vows - all while Tracy is double-crossing him.
However, despite Tommy rejecting her advances since Steve's return, Tracy believes she's in love and doesn't seem to worry about the fallout for her family when the affair comes to light. Next week on Corrie, Tim Metcalfe tells Tracy he knows she's been seeing someone else and says she should tell Steve.
Even though Tracy plans to remarry Steve, she ends up telling Ken and Amy Barlow about her secret times with Tommy.
