Coronation Street is set to welcome back a familiar face as part of the ongoing mystery surrounding Lauren Bolton's disappearance. She recently moved on from the cobbles, leaving Bobby worried when her flat was unlocked and empty.
Viewers never saw Lauren depart, and it appears she didn't inform anyone close to her about her plans, except for Roy Cropper. In recent episodes of the ITV soap, a worried Bobby visited Lauren's flat again, finding no one home, leading him to report her missing at the police station.
PC Craig Tinker pledged to look into the matter, later visiting the cafe to investigate Lauren's last known whereabouts. However, Bobby remains unconvinced even after Roy explained how he caught Lauren rummaging through Bethany's bag and had to let her go.
He revealed that when he visited her with her wages, she mentioned moving away to start anew. As the story unfolds, Bobby grows increasingly suspicious of Roy.
DS Lisa Swain is soon to return and get tightly caught up in the case. The character, who has come and gone since 2021, looks set to become a permanent fixture on the famous cobbles, reports the Mirror.
As DS Swain delves into Lauren's disappearance, both Daniel Osborne and Roy will raise suspicion. On another note, as DS Swain becomes a regular, fans will learn about Lisa's life beyond her police work.
