Colson Smith, renowned for playing Craig Tinker on Coronation Street, set tongues wagging when he revealed his actual age on Celebrity Big Brother. Fans were left totally stunned by his revelation as he entered the house on Sunday (4 March) night. Everyone knows Colson for his impressive portrayal of Officer PC Craig Tinker on the famous ITV soap.
However, as he entered the Big Brother house to join stars like Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, along with Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita Kuzmin and Love Island champ Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, fans got a totally different view of him. Colson has been part of the Coronation Street family for a whopping 13 years and has witnessed a tremendous transformation, having shed a remarkable 10 stone, reports the Mirror. Reminiscing about his journey, he reflected: "I was always the fat kid.
In most of my social situations, social circles, that's just who I was. And it's kind of the identity that I ended up with. I made that conscious decision.
I was ready to kind of change that identity and I was ready to move on from it. "I guess the main thing I've learned is who Colson is, I've learned to like myself and I've learned to trust myself. I've learned to believe in myself and I'm now really enjoying life.
And it's changed my entire outlook and I say a lot of that is down to running and the routine and being healthy. "My routine (before) was very difficult as I kind of left my parents at 17 to live in Manchester, which was away from home. And when everyone else was at uni, I'm sat on bloody Deliveroo every night." As Colson entered the house for his latest venture, fans couldn't believe his age.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: "I cannot believe that boy is 25 #CBBUK." A second shared:
