I Break Horses, the pop project led by Maria Lendén, has a new album due later this spring. It’s called Warnings, and it’s her first record in six years, following 2014’s Chiaroscuro. Listen to “Neon Lights” from the album, which arrives May 8 via Bella Union/PIAS, below.
Leading up to the record’s announcement, Lendén shared two other new songs in February: “I’ll Be the Death of You” and “Death Engine.” She also recently made a playlist for Brooklyn Vegan of songs to ease time in isolation.

Amnesia Scanner—the Berlin-based duo of Ville Haimala and Martti Kalliala—are back with a new album. It’s called Tearless and it’s set to arrive on June 5 via PAN. Phoebe Bridgers has announced her sophomore solo album: Punisher is out June 19 via Dead Oceans. Back in 2011, Baths released Pop Music / False B-Sides, a collection of tracks that did not make the cut for his 2010 debut Cerulean. Now, he’s back with a sequel: Pop Music / False B-Sides II features songs that were considered for 2013’s Obsidian and 2017’s Romaplasm. Iceage have shared a new song, “Lockdown Blues.” It was written in the wake of the social distancing measures put in place by countries worldwide in an effort to combat the spread of coronavirus. Los Angeles duo No Age have shared the music video for a new song called “Feeler.” The visual is directed by Kersti Jan Werdel, who said she “wanted to make something that felt honest to the experience of being an adolescent just before entering adulthood.” Watch below.
Inventions—the duo of Matthew Robert Cooper (aka Eluvium) and Explosions in the Sky’s Mark T. Smith—have announced their next album. Continuous Portrait arrives digitally May 29 via Temporary Residence Ltd. The LP was recorded during Finn’s sessions from his most recent solo album, last year’s I Need a New War. Nine Inch Nails have surprise-released a new album. Ghosts V-VI arrived suddenly this morning, available as a free download from their website.
