The Good Morning Britain team were overcome with emotion as they bid farewell to Ben Shephard on Friday, 23 February.
The TV presenter marked his final day on the ITV show as he gets set to switch over to hosting This Morning in March. Ben, 49, has been part of the GMB team for 10 years, so his final day was understandably an emotional affair. Presenters who couldn't be in the studio sent in video messages, while stars such as Dr Amir Khan joined Kate and Ben in the studio to wish him luck. Dr Amir emotionally told Ben: "I haven't been here that long, but the support you've given me and the advice, and everything that you say, I've taken on board. Honestly, you've been such a huge part of my journey here." Andi Peters, who hosts the competition segments on GMB, was also in the studio during Ben's final show.
Kate informed viewers that Andi is Ben's longest-serving friend, as the pair kicked off their TV careers on T4 over 20 years ago. Ben was presented with a leaving gift from Andi for his new dressing room at This Morning. He
