Emotions were running high for Kate Garraway on Friday morning's Good Morning Britain as she bid farewell to her co-host Ben Shephard as the 49-year-old leaves to front This Morning.
Last week it was announced that Ben would quit GMB after 10 years to co-host This Morning alongside Cat Deeley as the pair take over following the shocking departures of both Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby last year.
Ben will make his debut on the sofa on Monday, March 11 according to reports in Manchester Evening News. Ben and Kate addressed his emotional exit during Friday's show as he discussed his new role.
Kate said: "It's not even a minute past six, I just realised that's the last time we're here Good Morning Britain with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway. I'm off already, too emotional!"
Ben added: "I'm desperately trying to hold this together, we've got three hours" with Kate replying: "Are you? Feeling a bit emotional?" to which Ben admitted: "Yeah, I do!"
Charlotte Hawkins was also emotional, saying: "I have to say, Ben, we'll be doing our best to keep it together today." But Kate joked: "We have got three hours of other stuff, it's not just all Ben Shepard mania. Although it is about 92%.'

Later in the show, tributes to Ben continued to pour in, with Kate saying: "We're all going to miss Ben in the mornings. The cheeky smile, the risky innuendoes." She went onto quip: "Yeah, our producers are slightly relieved about that!"
Andi Peter also revealed him and Ben worked together during the show years ago on T4 as he surprised him with a hilarious leaving present in the form of a miniature Andi figure to sit proudly in his
