Manchester Pride 2023 is just around the corner and it is set to be a weekend to remember.
Taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend from August 25-28, Manchester Pride will see the city join together to celebrate LGBTQ+ equality the way we know how: with parties, festivals, vigils, parades and hangouts.
As per usual, you will need tickets to attend the Gay Village Party, which will this year include performances from the likes of Jake Shears, Alison Goldfrapp, Pabllo Vittar, and Danny Beard, but there are also a whole load of events, activities and parties taking place across the city-region during the four-day weekend celebration (and beyond) that are free to attend.

They include the annual Pride Parade which will feature tens of thousands of people, Family Pride MCR and special events honouring the community through protest, vigils and parties.
There will also be plenty of entertainment and live acts within the Gay Village itself, where bars will host their own set of fun and shenanigans across the weekend. There will also be the Community Lane on Chorlton Street throughout the weekend featuring market stalls, sober spaces and an activism hub.
We've rounded up just some of the free events taking place across the city-region during Pride with most not even requiring you to book a ticket beforehand.
