Just when you thought The Six had successfully covered up Keanu Taylor’s Christmas Day murder, EastEnders once again added a shocking twist to the tale as the latest episode of the BBC show revealed two devastating developments. As regular viewers will know, Denise Fox, Linda Carter, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar and Sharon Watts were all involved in the murder of Keanu in The Queen Vic, after Linda accidentally fatally stabbed him to stop him from strangling Sharon.
Keen to cover their tracks, all six women vowed to dispose of the body by burying it under the floor of the cafe and telling everyone Keanu had simply left Walford following an argument with Sharon. Yet rather than solve their problems, in recent weeks their cover story has slowly been forming cracks, with Monday night’s episode (19 Feb) dropping not one, but two bombshells on the situation.
During the episode, Linda and four other members of The Six were left horrified after they discovered that the weapon used to kill Keanu had gone missing.
The troubled landlady had intended to get rid of weeks ago, but never quite got around to it - with the murder weapon now crucially in the hands of a mystery owner. Trouble first began brewing late last week, when Linda decided to come clean to her son Johnny about what had happened at Christmas, after he noticed her off behaviour.
Yet rather than recoil in horror, Johnny vowed to do whatever it took to keep his mum out of prison - including disposing of the murder weapon if necessary. Having learnt that Linda had been hiding the deadly meat thermometer under her bed, Johnny went to retrieve it, only to realise that the weapon was no longer there.
