A number of Manchester pubs and taprooms have been added to the 2024 edition of the Campaign for Real Ale's (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide, which was released today (Thursday, September 28). Across Greater Manchester there are 36 new entries to the guide including boozers in Stockport, Tameside, Bury, Salford, Bolton and Wigan.
The Good Beer Guide includes reviews of more than 4,500 pubs across the UK compiled by thousands of independent volunteers, with 910 newly featured pubs across the UK. The latest edition is the 51st and features a cover illustration by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.

CAMRA says that this net loss of 60 breweries is a "worrying reminder that a lack of support from the Government means dire consequences for local businesses, in the wake of a cost-of-business crisis and the constant pressure of fuel bills".

As we enter our second half century of producing the Guide, there is no one better to introduce this year’s edition, and highlight what makes these institutions so worth visiting.
“The last few years have been an incredibly difficult time for the industry, and we need more support than ever before to keep our nation’s pubs and breweries open and thriving. I’d encourage everyone to use
