This Morning fans go wild as Phillip Schofield returns to host ITV show

While things never fail to appear harmonious on-screen every day on This Morning, the daytime show and its presenters have faced their fair share of bust-ups, rivalries and controversies over the years. Since the programme made its debut in 1988, its hosts have provided some dramatic stories of their own alongside the show's segments and guests.

Phillip Schofield was sweetly surprised by his wife Stephanie Lowe and their two daughters Molly, 29, and Ruby, 26, at This Morning on Wednesday. Taking to Instagram, the presenter, 59, who has been celebrating his 40th year in television, shared a picture of a stunning bouquet of sunflowers sent by his family. Phillip penned: "40 sunflowers just arrived at work from Steph and my girls to mark my telly anniversary! My fave flower [heart emoji] thank you xx." The ITV star also found a special way to honour the bouquet of flowers during Wednesday's This Morning as he managed to place them on TV during a segment.

This Morning fans have likened Josie Gibson to a “real-life” version of Bridget Jones after she was sent to face another physical challenge. The 37 year old presenter has been a fan favourite since she joined the ITV morning show in 2019 and filled in as a co-host on the show for Holly Willoughby last year. On Tuesday 16 February Josie joined the presenters live from Manchester at a dry slope, where she tried snowboarding for the first time in honour of the Winter Olympics.

Phillip Schofield has confirmed he’s finally out of isolation after testing negative twice for Covid.The presenter, 59, has been absent from his presenting duties on This Morning and Dancing On Ice after testing positive for coronavirus at the end of January and previously admitted he was “bored out of his brain” after isolating for a week. However, his luck seems to have now changed – on Monday afternoon he posted a negative lateral flow test, followed by another negative test today, meaning he could leave isolation. ITV viewers were left in hysterics at Josie Gibson’s extreme trial on This Morning on Tuesday 8 February. In the challenge, the 37 year old presenter visited a waterfall and had to jump off some rocks into the pool of water below. As Josie leant over to look down she let her producer Harry jump into the water first, as she is “terrified” of heights.
