Phillip Schofield has revealed that he will miss Monday's This Morning as he continues to test positive for Covid-19. The presenter, 59, first tested positive for coronavirus on Monday evening and will also be missing Sunday's Dancing On Ice, where he will be replaced by Stephen Mulhern. Taking to Instagram on Sunday to share an update amid his Covid battle, Phillip posted a picture of his lateral flow test, which had two red lines.
He penned: "This really is the day that keeps on giving!! Sorry @thismorning @hollywilloughby." Phillip also issued an update as to how his isolation is going as he revealed that if he hadn't of been at home, his house would have flooded. Posting a picture of a leak, he penned: "Life is full of small consolations... if I hadn't tested positive and had going to @dancingonice the house would be flooded." Sharing more photos of his home, Phillip wrote: "Remind me not to turn on that light!", he added; "Surprisingly I'm very calm. As they say in the movie 'don't look up!'".
Phillip first announced he had tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday January 31 by sharing the results of a lateral flow test on Instagram. "Well b*****ks," he wrote alongside the photo. "Currently just a slightly sore throat." Phillip had been hosting This Morning alongside Rochelle Humes, while Holly Willoughby has been filming for another show with the BBC, when he got the positive result.
