The Pretenders announce new album ‘Hate for Sale’ and share first track

Greg Fox—the composer and virtuoso drummer for Ex Eye, Liturgy, Zs, and more— has announced a new album. Contact is out May 29 via RVNG Intl. The follow-up to 2017’s The Gradual Progression, Contact was produced and mixed by Randall Dunn. A portion of its proceeds will benefit the Dhamma Dharā Vipassana Meditation Center. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have announced their new album Sideways to New Italy. The Melbourne band’s new one is out June 5 via Sub Pop. They’ve released a video for their new song “She’s There.” Watch the Nick Mckk-directed visual below.

Nick Hakim has announced a new studio album, WILL THIS MAKE ME GOOD. It’s out May 15 via ATO. Hakim has also shared the new song “QADIR.” Watch its music video, directed by Nelson Nance, below.

Inventions—the duo of Matthew Robert Cooper (aka Eluvium) and Explosions in the Sky’s Mark T. Smith—have announced their next album. Continuous Portrait arrives digitally May 29 via Temporary Residence Ltd. The CD and also the bronze vinyl are out July 10.

I Break Horses, the pop project led by Maria Lendén, has a new album due later this spring. It’s called Warnings, and it’s her first record in six years, following 2014’s Chiaroscuro. Listen to “Neon Lights” from the album, which arrives May 8 via Bella Union/PIAS, below.

Craig Finn, frontman for the Hold Steady, has announced a new album called All These Perfect Crosses. He’s also shared its title track. The LP was recorded during Finn’s sessions from his most recent solo album, last year’s I Need a New War. The double album arrives June 20 (via Partisan) for the recently rescheduled Record Store Day. It's their first record in three years

Today (March 25) is Big Sean’s 32nd birthday, and, to celebrate, he’s revealed the title of his next album: Detroit 2. The record, which does not yet have a release date, will arrive via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings. Check out Sean’s new Detroit 2 trailer below.

Chilean hip-hop artist Ana Tijoux has announced her first studio album in six years. Antifa Dance is out later this year, and Tijoux has shared the title track and an accompanying music video, directed by Daniela López Lugo and co-starring Chilean singer-songwriter Alex Anwandter. It’s called Innocent Country 2 and it arrives April 24 via Mello Music Group. He’s also shared a new track from the record, titled “LIVING HAPPY” (featuring Chicago’s Joseph Chilliams and New Orleans-based rapper Cavalier).

Jamaican reggae star Chronixx has announced his next album. Dela Splash is out later this year. Ahead of the LP, Chronixx has shared lead single “Dela Move” along with a visual directed by Nabil Elderkin, who has made music videos for the likes of Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Dua Lipa, and more. Margo Price has announced her new album That’s How Rumors Get Started. The All American Made follow-up was produced by Sturgill Simpson and co-produced by Price and David Ferguson.
