Susanna Reid has been flooded with messages as she shared the sad news of her friend's death weeks after she appeared on Good Morning Britain. Last month, the presenter was seen fighting back tears on the ITV news programme when cancer campaigner Suki Thompson appeared via video link.
Suki had been diagnosed with cancer four times during the past 15 years and had been actively raising awareness about the disease over the past few years, specifically around skin cancer following her incurable diagnosis.

As the moving interview concluded, Susanna described her friend as "human sunshine" and clearly emotional, told her: "It's been a privilege knowing you and being friends with you."
