Richard Madeley was left having to correct himself as he made a bit of a blooper on Good Morning Britain. The broadcaster has been back at the helm of the ITV news programme this week alongside Kate Garraway.
During Tuesday's show (August 29), Richard and Kate were discussing the flight chaos that has seen journeys cancelled, leaving thousands of passengers stranded during a technical fault in the UK’s air traffic control (ATC) system.
The issue started on Monday (August 28) after a technical glitch meant flight plans had to be input manually by controllers, causing more than a quarter of departures and arrivals to be axed. The disruption has since continued into today (Tuesday) with flights cancelled and delayed as many aircraft and crews are out of position.

During the second episode of GMB of the week, Richard and Kate chatted to former Olympian sprinter Iwan Thomas via video link as he was stranded in Amsterdam. When speaking to their guest, it is then when Richard, 67, said: "It’s a good job you kept your passport on you.
"And it’s a good job you’ve got a couple of credit cards on you. Otherwise, you really would be stuck, you would just basically be sitting on your a**e."
