Ruth Langsford has given fans a health update after revealing she has been struggling with illness all week. The Loose Women star was absent from the panel for three days this week, amid concerned messages from fans.
Ruth, who is 63, had posted about having the "lurgy" earlier this week. She shared a video as she combined ingredients in a cafetiere to create a smooth hot drink.
Alongside the post, Ruth wrote to her one million followers: "Got the Lurgy! So I’ve made myself a hot toddy and I’m going back to bed! Lemon, orange, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, honey and a big splosh of Irish whiskey."

She also made herself a soup packed with vegetables and cooked with bone broth on Tuesday (August 29). She posted: "Still got the lurgy! Got out of my sick bed to make myself some healthy soup."
However, today (Friday), she has finally revealed that she has a chest infection. She took to Instagram Stories to show a video of a vapouriser.
She wrote: "My 'lurgy' is actually a chest infection. So here I am on antibiotics and a steam vapouriser twice a day."
She was also shown brewing a lemon, ginger and manuka leaf tea and adding British honey with turmeric and ginger, quipping: "I'm trying everything."
Chest infections can be concerning in the over-60s, so it's good that Ruth has caught it on time and is getting treatment. Symptoms include a chesty cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, fever, headaches, muscle aches and tiredness.
Earlier in the week, Ruth's fans were posting all of their good wishes as she struggled with her illness.
Vanessa Feltz commented: "Wish you better lovely friend," while Justine Jones added: "Oh Ruth, sending you
