Good Morning Britain viewers forced to 'mute' Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway as they complain of 'annoying' issue

Good Morning Britain viewers found themselves having to 'mute' their TVs as Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway conducted one of their latest interviews. The pair were back fronting the ITV news programme on Wednesday (August 30), marking their third stint at the helm this week.
As well as bringing viewers the latest news headlines and conducting some more controversial debates, Richard and Kate were joined via video link on the programme by Sir Richard Branson. He was on the show to chat to the hosts about his 'superpower', sharing why he feels his dyslexia has helped his career, rather than being a block in the way.
But while on the programme, he was asked his thoughts on the current flight chaos that has hit holidaymakers. It started on Monday and continued on Tuesday and into Wednesday after a UK air traffic control failure meant flight plans had to be input manually by controllers.

Joining the show live from Majorca, Richard said: "When something like this goes wrong, it’s horrible - I’ve sat at airports for hours myself and know exactly what it’s like.
"We at Virgin Atlantic have an extraordinary sea of people and I don’t think that they’ve had any flights that they haven’t managed to get off on time and get back on time so I think we’re lucky that we’re long haul and not short haul and they’ve managed to overcome the problems, but for those that are stuck at airports, there’s almost nothing worse."
