Susanna Reid appeared emotional as she was joined by her friend live on Good Morning Britain. The presenter was back hosting the show on Wednesday (July 19) alongside Martin Lewis when they were joined via video link by cancer campaigner Suki Thompson.
Suki has been diagnosed with cancer four times during the past 15 years and has been actively raising awareness about the disease over the past few years, specifically around skin cancer following her incurable diagnosis.
While appearing live via video link, Suki told viewers about the importance of using suncream and how she had no idea skin cancer could spread to the brain, which has happened to her.

As Susanna asked about her current situation and the disease, Suki bravely said from her bed at home in Cornwall alongside her daughter: "I am very close to the end of my journey I guess."
She told how the last time she saw the GMB host was when she could walk as they enjoyed a stroll to a cafe but said she hasn't been able to walk since. As the moving interview concluded, Susanna described her friend as "human sunshine" and clearly emotionally, she told her :"It's been a privilege knowing you and being friends with you."
Suki then also took the opportunity to thank the presenter. "You do know, people like you are so important to me," she remarked. "I'm so inspired by friends like you, Susanna." The TV star seemed to hold back a surge of emotion as she replied: "You're the inspiration."
Suki went on: "And your programme's really important to me, because all my medication in the morning revolves around Good Morning Britain. So I start it at six o'clock and I finish my medication
