Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley were back on ITV today with their daily debates.
On this morning's show the duo were discussing broad accents and having to tone them down.
The pair sat down with guests Apprentice star Joanna Jarjue and Blethered podcast host Sean McDonald and discussed their experiences on how people often perceive to their strong Glaswegian and Yorkshire accents.
During the discussion, the guests explained how the way they speak has led to assumptions and requests to speak differently.
Richard began the discussion: "You speak with a Glaswegian accent don't you?"
Which guest, podcast host Sean replied: "Yeah a very strong one aswell. But it's something I have been on the receiving end of as I was saying to you off air, I've had producers at BBC Scotland asking me to - at times - tone down the Scottishness and to be a wee bit more homogonous."
He continues: "Which I do think is absurd, and I think I've managed to succeed in spite of it."
Sean went on to add that he often feels unfairly judged for speaking in a Glaswegian accent. He said: "Somebody thinks I want a fight, no I just want a flat white!'
Joanna Jarjue argued it's more about pronunciation than your accent. She said: "Down here people think I'm the most northern thing going and then when I go back up north, it's almost as if I've turned into a Londoner."
Later on in the discussion Richard revealed his real voice for the first time.
The 67-year-old admitted he does in fact have an Essex accent but was forced to tone it down by his very strict father.
He explained: “I upgraded mine because my dad was a public school educated guy and at home in Romford, if I spoke like I spoke in the playground - honestly this is how I spoke-
