Martin Lewis told Good Morning Britain viewers that he had been brought to tears as he halted the latest edition of the show. The money saving expert founder was back hosting the ITV news programme on Wednesday (July 19) alongside Susanna Reid.
Martin was back for his 'Wallet Wednesday' commitment which sees him appear on the show once a month to both host and help and advise viewers when it comes to their finances amid the continued cost of living crisis.
But as he returned to the helm of the programme, the 50-year-old shared an emotional message with viewers. Martin admitted to getting teary-eyed last night after reading a message from a fan who followed his advice.

Just minutes after the ITV show began, Martin asked co-host Susanna if he could "do an aside", after noting "Wallet Wednesday" always falls on the day new inflation figures are released.
"I'll be honest," he continued, "I had some tears in my eyes last night - I've had a stressful couple of weeks and I got a lovely message..." Susanna then interjected to ask: "Are you the cost of living crisis hero in action?"
But a self-deprecating and humble Martin replied: "No, no - this is something else. Someone says they regularly watch my show and [told me] 'In 2015, I was sadly and suddenly widowed at the age of 38. I was unable to claim widowed parents allowance due to not actually being married to my long-term partner and received little help from the government to then bring up our three children."
