Good Morning Britain star Sean Fletcher has shared his devastation after he and his family suffered a tragic loss while he was working away from home. The presenter took to Instagram to share how his pet dog, Meg, had been killed in a road accident after she escaped from their home.
Sean said he was forced to find out the news before doing a live show that same evening. The GMB presenter, who shares two children with his wife Luned Tonderai, told his fans and follower how losing Meg has been one of the most challenging things he’s gone through as he thanked his colleagues at ITV for their support as he continued to work after finding out the heartbreaking news.
Alongside a video of the pair together and adorable pictures of his beloved Meg, Sean wrote on Instagram: "I am heartbroken. My lovely dog #Meg got out of our house, we think chasing a fox. She was hit by a car and died. We are all totally devastated.

"She had been moved from the side of the road and placed by a tree with a small blanket covering her. Thanks to the person who did that. I don’t know who you are but you need to know that what you did made it easier for my wife and children when they found her."
Sharing his memories with his young dog, Sean recalled: "I spent so much time with Meg as I work from home a lot. She often sat alongside me or on my feet when I worked. She was so loving and was always up for a cuddle, or a cwtch as we say in welsh. She had that ‘animal ability’ to intuitively know when people were down and then lavish them with affection.
