Phil Foden is confident that Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland will become the record holder for scoring the most goals in a single Premier League season.
The Norwegian international, recruited from Borussia Dortmund last summer, has excelled in his debut campaign at the Etihad Stadium, scoring a whopping 48 goals in all competitions, 32 of which have come in the Premier League. He has netted four goals in his last two league outings and will be determined to add to his collection in Wednesday night's titanic clash with Arsenal.
Haaland, as it stands, is just two goals away from equalling Alan Shearer's and Andy Cole's long-standing record of 34 goals in a single Premier League campaign. With eight games left, he is almost certain to match it and then set his own record.

He has been nothing short of sensational throughout the campaign and could finish his first season as a City player by helping them scoop a historical treble, with both the FA Cup and the Champions League still up for grabs in addition to the Premier League title. But on a personal note, Foden is tipping the 22-year-old to write his name into the Premier League history books.
"I believe he's going to beat it," admitted Foden speaking at the launch of Nissan's 'Away Days' series. "He's so driven to score.
"I think you can see that, he's always making runs in the box, always wants to be there for the finish and I see the determination from him and yes, hopefully he can break it."
