Trent Alexander-Arnold described the destination of the Premier League title as “obvious” as he backed Manchester City to win all of their remaining games and come out on top.
Arsenal had surprisingly led the charge and were bookmakers’ favourites in January - yielding an eight-point lead over Pep Guardiola and Co. But recent stutters have allowed City to smell blood - and take full advantage by storming into first place.

Alexander-Arnold recognises Man City’s “juggernaut” ability to put their foot down as the run-in approaches - insisting Arsenal’s title charge was “game over” as soon as the lead began to tumble.
“The league is obvious now and I’ve said it for a while,” he told Red Bull. “If City are even anywhere close, if they smell blood at Christmas, New Year - it’s game over really.
