Gary Neville believes Liverpool will sense blood in their Premier League top-four battle with Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Jurgen Klopp's side have won six league games on the spin to charge up the table and keep alive their hopes of securing a spot in the Champions League next season. At one point, that looked highly unlikely after a mixed season on Merseyside.
But Liverpool are now putting the pressure on United and Newcastle as the season reaches its climax. The Magpies lost to Arsenal on Sunday afternoon and have a three-point advantage over fifth-placed Liverpool with a game in hand. United are only one point ahead, again with a game in hand, having slumped to a 1-0 defeat to West Ham.

Brighton cannot be counted out just yet with the Seagulls taking on Everton on Monday night. They trail Newcastle by 10 points with two games in hand and have played three games fewer than both United and Liverpool.
And Neville feels Klopp's men will have a spring in their step as they prepare for the final few weeks of the season even if he does feel that United and Newcastle should be able to maintain their advantage.
"Liverpool will sense a little bit of blood and try and ramp it up," said Neville, speaking before United's defeat to West Ham. "Jurgen Klopp and his players will be going into training tomorrow thinking we have got a chance here.
"They will want to hunt down and make it interesting. There is a job to do for Newcastle and Manchester United but they should have enough in the tank to get over the line."
