A female passenger onboard a Scotland-bound flight has died after suffering from a cardiac arrest.
TUI flight BY1573 reported an emergency Squawk 7700 signal after leaving Tenerife airport at around 5.30pm on Friday, December 29.
The Glasgow-bound flight was diverted to Funchal Airport on the island of Madeira at around 6.20pm and landed 20 minutes later.

Local media reports say emergency crews met airline staff at the scene but sadly a female passenger could not be saved after suffering from a cardiac arrest.
Portuguese newspaper Diário de Notícias reports firefighters and an emergency response unit attended the scene and met the plane on the tarmac.
It is understood the plane landed in Glasgow Airport later on Friday evening.
