New Met Office weather maps show all the places where snow will fall in UK this week

Snow has been predicted to fall in some parts of the UK this week as temperatures remain significantly cold, according to forecasters.
Weather maps from the Met Office show how rain and snowfall will slowly move from the east and push its way through southern parts of England today. In particular, Exeter and Plymouth will be hit in the early hours of Tuesday morning (January 9).
Later on in the morning at around 10.45am, snow will continue to be pushed into the south-west, hitting some key parts of Cornwall including Bodmin and Newquay. Following this short snow event, the Met Office maps show that whole of the country will be free from snowfall for a few days, though, with rain predicted in some northern parts of England alongside Scotland on Wednesday.

However, for the rest of the country it will be mostly dry for the rest of the week, if not extremely cold. Many parts of the UK will consistently have temperatures close to 0C throughout the whole week.
Following this, snow is predicted to fall once again in Scotland in the early hours of Sunday, January 14. Long-range forecasts currently predict areas such as Craig, Aberlour, and Fort William will be affected by the snowfall as well as some bouts of heavy rain.
Temperatures in these areas will also remain close to zero, with forecasters predicting temperatures of roughly 1C to 3C in all areas hit by snowfall.
