The police watchdog has issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward after a 20-year-old woman died in a crash following a chase.
Xena Georgiou, 20, was driving a BMW that crashed when she 'lost control' and it collided with a parked car in Sale in Trafford, an inquest opening heard. The smash happened on Marsland Road following a 'two-minute' police pursuit when the car failed to stop at around 8.30pm on Sunday, December 3.
Xena was rushed to the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) but died later that day. A male passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while a female passenger was also treated for her injuries on the night.

Following the crash, an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was launched. CCTV and house-to-house enquiries have already been carried out, while statements have been taken from the officers involved.
Today (January 8), the watchdog issued a renewed appeal for any witnesses of the incident to come forward. Investigators want to speak to anyone who witnessed the pursuit or the immediate aftermath.
They also want to speak to 'the doctor or medical professional who assisted officers' immediately after the crash. Witness appeal boards have been put up in the area.
IOPC Regional Director Catherine Bates said: "Our sympathies and thoughts remain with Xena’s family, friends and all those affected by this tragic incident. We believe there to be a number of pedestrians and drivers who may have seen or heard something that might assist our investigation.
