A man is believed to have suffered from a 'medical episode' before a crash in south Manchester yesterday.
The smash happened on Longley Lane in Northenden at around 12.50pm on Wednesday (January 10). A car collided with a parked-up van.
The driver of the car - a man aged in his 70s - suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital from the scene.

The Manchester Evening News understands that he is believed to have suffered a medical episode at the wheel. No further updates on his condition have been released at this stage.
The road was closed off for several hours after the crash yesterday. Pictures from the scene showed firefighters and police within the cordon.
Fire crews cut a man free from one of the vehicles, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said. Any witnesses, or anyone with dash cam footage of the incident, are being urged to contact Greater Manchester Police.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At just before 1pm today (Wednesday January 10) two fire engines from Wythenshawe and Stockport fire stations as well as the technical response unit from Ashton-Under-Lyne fire station attended a crash between one car and a van on Longley Lane, Sharston.
"Firefighters using specialist cutting equipment rescued a male from one of the vehicles and handed them to the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for around one hour.”
