Speaking to Heat Magazine, the insider added that the couple are now demanding a "full request" on who is to blame for the huge snub.
Harry and Meghan reportedly want to know who "put the boot in and what on earth they've got to do to catch a break".
Despite the couple's disappointment, the series quickly became Netflix's most streamed show ever and although they missed out on an Emmy Nomination, the two-part docuseries has been nominated for a prestigious Hollywood Critics Award in the Best Streaming Non-Fiction category.
