Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to "make amends" with Prince William by renting a Kensington Palace apartment, a source has claimed.
However the Duke of Sussex is still concerned that he could become a "prisoner of the palace", an insider told OK! Magazine.
The source said: "He and Meghan are offering to rent an apartment at Kensington Palace and furnish it themselves.
"He hopes that will please William and show that they’re serious about coming back. Harry doesn’t want to become a prisoner of the palace".
Despite this, royal experts have doubted whether any possible reconciliation is on the table for the two 'feuding' brothers, the Express reports.
Talk TV's Royal Editor Sarah Hewson told Sky News Australia: "I see no signs of that whatsoever. The damage, the wounds are so deep it’s gonna take an awful lot and an awful long time to heal those wounds."
She added: "And, at this stage, I just don’t see any evidence whatsoever that there is a desire on either side, yet, to put an end to this and to forgive and forget."
Relations between Prince Harry and Prince William are believed to be at an all time low following the release of the Duke's controversial memoir Spare in January this year.
Within the tell-all book, Harry made a series of shocking allegations against the Royal Family including several that were solely directed at William.
One of his most appalling claims was that a physical altercation previously broke out between the two brothers over Harry wanting to leave the Firm, which allegedly resulted in William shoving the Duke to the ground.
Harry also claims that the future King dubbed Meghan as “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive” which he says was “parrot[ing] of the press narrative”.
