King Charles will not strip his son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle of their royal titles regardless of whatever happens in the future, a source close to the Palace has claimed.
The Sussexes were specially gifted their titles from the late Queen Elizabeth and, according to royal author Robert Jobson, the monarch would 'absolutely categorically' not take it away from them even if Meghan became president.
When Harry and Meghan first announced they were stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, they initially asked for a half-in-half-out deal but the Queen told them they only had the options of all-in or nothing.
The couple chose the latter and were able to retain their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles but would no longer be addressed as His/Her Royal Highness.
The former monarch later stripped the Sussexes of their honorary royal patronages and military appointments in 2021, the Express reports.
After the Queen's death in September last year, many questioned how King Charles would deal with his youngest son, who continued to reveal all of the royal family's secrets in public.
However, Jobson, who wrote a book called ‘Our King Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed’, claims: “I was at Royal Ascot the other day and I met a source, who is quite close to the Royal Family.
"I said, 'Well, what about all this stuff about stripping titles?'
“If you're going to have a President Meghan, then surely, they're not going to want to have their royal titles and they will be kicked out of the line succession?'
“And he absolutely categorically said, that's just not going to happen.
