However, it is widely accepted that fast food is not the healthiest choice as fried foods are often high in saturated fat, while many takeaway options contain heavily processed meats and other ingredients.
In spite of this, people’s appetites for takeaways and fast food have only grown in recent years. In fact, business count data shows the number of takeaway food shops and mobile stands has increased by 23% in Greater Manchester since 2019, with around 485 new fast food stores opening by the end of 2022.
