Ruben Dias has returned to form at the same time as Manchester City this season.
Dias made life more difficult for himself by playing two games for Portugal at the World Cup even after picking up a hamstring injury, going above and beyond because of the competition. After sitting out the next six weeks of City's season, he has returned in style.
Since the centre-back came back from the injury that forced him out after the World Cup, Pep Guardiola's side are unbeaten in 12 games including an eight-game winning streak that they carry into Tuesday's Champions League quarter with Bayern Munich. The manager has been delighted with the contribution of his defender, who has helped to tighten things up at the back and ignite City's charge in three competitions.

"My injury was a difficult time," he said. "I played the last two games of the World Cup injured and it was not easy especially because of the importance of the competition but I came back and I'm here to help.
"It is about staying positive and keep believing in what you can do and help the team the most you can with your ability. It is football, football changes and that is why you need to keep sharp
"I am happy the team is producing and to be part of it in every way possible it is for us players the ultimate joy, to be part of the process is important for us. All of us have a special feeling, a special taste when it comes to this stage.
"Now is the time to be together and producing and to be out on the pitch and do what we can do best. I think our team is fed by these moments and that is a very good characteristic to have."
