Actress Karen Blick surprised Emmerdale fans when she revealed her real age as she marked her birthday with a candid post on Instagram.
The star, who plays character Lydia Dingle, has left fans gobsmacked following her birthday celebrations earlier this week. Fans of the soap flooded the actress with birthday wishes as she celebrated another happy year.
The collection of images included a selfie of her beaming at the camera and a few snaps of some of the lovely gifts she received from her friends and family.
Her followers were stunned to discover that Karen had just turned 49, with many expressing their surprise in the comments. Revealing all in a post shared with her 17,000 followers, Karen said: "Last year of my 40s! "Had a great day so far and feeling very grateful, morning walk, lovely cards, messages, homemade gifts and cake! X" Eagle-eyed fans rushed to the comments section to admit their shock at Karen's age.
One user wrote: "Happy birthday Karen, I thought you were late 30's...you look amazing!" Another shared: "No way are you 49! I thought you were much younger Karen xx."
