Coronation Street viewers think they may have figured out who Lauren Bolton's boyfriend is after a big hint was dropped during Friday night's episode (16 February) of the hit ITV soap. In the latest development, fans learnt that someone had come to see Lauren on Valentine's Day but crucially viewers didn't see his face.
In a further plot twist, after the visit it was soon revealed that Lauren was covered in bruises - with many fearing that a vulnerable girl like Lauren may be caught up in an abusive relationship. Although no confirmation ahs yet been given as to the identity of her abusive partner, people are speculating on social media about who he could be.
One popular theory among fans is that it might be Bethany Platt's cruel ex Nathan or even Damon Hay's son Jacob, with one completely left field suggestion even being killer Rob Donovan.
Taking to social media to share their thoughts, one person said: "Ah so it is it's Nathan #Corrie," and another wrote: "#Corrie is Lauren being abused." Someone else asked: "What the hell is going on with Lauren? #Corrie," and another fan guessed: "laurens boyfriend is nathan isn't it, why oh why would you do this corrie #Corrie." Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren, previously hinted about what lay in store for her character as she discussed how her character is in big trouble with a man who's taking advantage her. Chatting with The Mirror, she shared: "There's a lot of danger there.
She's a vulnerable 18 year-old-girl so she's bound to make mistakes, but she's still young. It's a shock for Lauren because she blurts out [her secret] to Max, but Sabrina as well, and she's not that close to Sabrina so it's quite complicated." Although the storyline will no doubt be a difficult watch for
