Gary Neville has urged Manchester United to sign a senior No.9 and believes the arrival of Harry Kane would instantly see the club become title challengers.

Marcus Rashford has occasionally had to lead the line this summer, with Anthony Martial still injured. But Neville believes a more senior option is needed to support Hojlund and he wants the club to sign Kane.
"He [Rashford] doesn't like playing there [as a No.9]," Neville told The Overlap. "I spoke to him a few weeks ago and he was categoric that he plays off the left. He wants to play off the left. The real answer here is that Ten Hag wanted two centre forwards, a young one to back up Harry Kane.
"He needed two centre-forwards. he [still] needs two centre forwards because Martial could probably leave or will become unpredictable like he has been, Rashford definitely wants to play on the left. We haven't actually got a [fit] centre forward. Manchester United do not have a [fit] centre forward.
