Former Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick could be in line for a top job at Barcelona, despite enduring a tough spell at Old Trafford. Rangnick, 65, is well-respected in Germany and has had a successful career, but his time at United proved challenging.
Following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United appointed Rangnick as manager in December 2021 on an interim basis until the end of the season, with the initial plan being for him to continue in a consultancy role for a further two years. By his own admission, Ragnick was left disappointed by the results of his time in charge, winning 11 of 29 games.
During his time as United boss, it was announced that Rangnick had agreed to become manager of Austria. This commitment meant that the coach did not continue in his consultancy role at United. Instead, he led Austria to qualify for Euro 2024.

This achievement is said to have caught the attention of Barcelona president Joan Laporta. The Catalan club are looking for a new manager after it was recently announced that Xavi will be stepping down at the end of the season.
Spanish outlet Sport has named Rangnick as one of the possible options to succeed Xavi at the Camp Nou. The report claims that the club are considering a wide range of German coaches for the role, with Rangnick being one of the names that interest Laporta.
Despite a difficult time in the Premier League, Rangnick is still known for developing young talent and played a key role in RB Leipzig's transformation into a Champions League club. The 65-year-old's immediate focus will be on preparing for this
